- Basic Demos Includes some very basic program listings. -
C directory Contains commands essential for programs to be executed. These can be entered through the shell.
Devs directory This contains DosDrivers, Datatypes, Keymaps, monitor and Printer drivers that are either mounted whilst booting or needed for preferences.
Empty An empty directory.
Expansion It is alleged to store certain drivers for graphic cards or other expansions.
FD1.3 Basic OS description for AmigaBasic.
Fonts This drawer contains a few bitmap fonts.
L Stores all the handlers for file systems. These enable you to access among others PC and MAC disks.
Libs Stores shared libraries essential for running applications.
PC Utils A number of PC utilities.
Prefs A number of programs designed to alter the configuration of the Amiga, such as setting the time or the font. It also stores preference files essential for loading certain programs.
S
This contains the startup configuration files for Workbench These are essential files that tell the Amiga exactly what to do.
System Contains some essential utilities to get the most out of Workbench.
T This stores temporary files on disk
Tools Contains basic utilities for use with Workbench. In a sub-directory are stored a few commodities which alter the behaviour of Workbench.
Trashcan Trashcan
Utilities Contains text/graphic displayers and other utilities.

RAM DISK

Clipboard Allows certain programs to cut and paste into each other by storing the file here.
Env Stores preference files to allow Workbench and other programs to allow the Amiga to access them quickly.
T Stores files temporary in memory. This is usually lost when you reboot.
