Commodore Rumour Mill

Commodore are renowned for their "security problems" that allowed almost every single Amiga magazine to find out about the latest Amiga's even before the staff did. Who could forget Commodores denial of the existence of the A3000 30 minutes before it was launched? However, the prototype boards were often renamed at a later stage. Here is a list of the Amigas mentioned in magazines and their final names:

Early Title: Launch Title: Comments
AC-DC- the Amiga Compact Disk Console CDTV
Amiga 300 Amiga 600 Early press speculation suggested it was dubbed the A550
Amiga 800/900 A1200 (maybe)
A5000 HP-RISC based Amiga Non-existant followup to the 68k Amiga.
A1300 Mind Walker A1300 described the first stage in the Walker development process- an upgraded A1200 system.
A7000 Power Amiga A rumour started by CU Amiga.
