The Amiga chipset was once the jewel in
the computer industry. These mystical components split every
generation of Amiga from the rest of the computer industry.
Although the Amiga chipset is out of date compared to specialist
graphics cards (it is, after all 5 years old) many experts envy its
close ties to the rest of the system. Unlike PC graphics cards, the
Amiga chipset can does not require configuring to allow software to
work with it. It is completely transparent to the user whilst still
having a tappable resource that so many programmers love. Three
variations of the Amiga chipset were released and a fourth version,
the mythical AAA was dropped for not being advanced compared to
