Launch date: 1998

Scala InfoPlayer

A customized multimedia broadcasting system sold by Scala during the late 1990s. Similar to Mick Tinker's CD32x machine and the Scala Workstation 500, the Scala Player was designed as a kiosk system for use by the general public in various environments. The unit consists of a standard A1200 motherboard fitted with a 68030 accelerator, 4MB Fast RAM, Micronik Zorro busboard and a 512MB hard disk. The unit is housed inside a custom tower case.
