TzimmOS

TzimmOS is a temporary name for a new operating system currently being developed by Kimmo Mustonen for Amiga 68k and PPC systems. It should be compatible with current software as well as adding such features as memory protection in what is referred to as "virtual playgrounds." It is also to provide unified memory system, virtual memory, multi-user support and many other features.

At present it is in a very early state of development and the author is not sure if the OS will run on top of the AmigaOS or as a separate system. The current development is at 0.02 and the webpage was last updated on the 21-Jun-98 indicating that it will be quite a long time until something tangible comes of these developments. The author is also welcoming all contributions to the project so if you are interested email him using the address on the webpage at visit the TzimmOS homepage.
