Quikpak
The bankruptcy of Escom in 1996 was a turbulent time for the Amiga. Many did not think the Amiga could survive a second bankruptcy in its lifetime and had even begun to call it the Amiga curse. Quikpak followed in the steps of VISCorp, announcing their plans to purchase the Amiga. The company was already a US manufacturer and had developed a range of systems that would take the Amiga into places it had never been. Towards the end it looked as if Quikpak would actually own the Amiga until it was snapped up by Gateway 2000.
