AmigaSoft development system

Developer: Amiga International
Announced: April 1998
Planned Release: November 1998

Amiga Workstation
At the World of Amiga Show 1998, in Hammersmith, London, Amiga International announced their plans to develop the Amiga into the next century. The first part of this was too release a developers system based upon Intel systems. The original release date was planned to be sometime during November 1998, but with the change of kernel partner it was set back to 3rd quarter 1999. The developer system would have allowed developers to release software as soon as the MCC hit the streets. However, changes at Amiga Inc. saw them turn into a software developer, dumping all plans for the Amiga N.G. hardware.
