Connect motherboard

Year of Announcement: 1997

In 1997 Index Information announced the development of the Connect- an AT motherboard that would fit into a standard PC case. It was expected to retail at around £600 to £700. The intention was to supply it to dealers allowing them to produce their own custom built Amiga. At the time the feature list was:

  • A4000 compatible
  • CPU slot for '040 or '060 processors
  • 2MB Chip RAM
  • Up to 128MB of Fast RAM
  • 4x Zorro III slots,
  • 4x ISA slots,
  • 1 Amiga video slot,
  • 4x IDE device support
  • CD-ROM audio input and mixer.
