Yes, there are a number of renditions of the Unix OS on Amiga. Most of these are very basic or require specialist hardware.

Amix- Commodore offered a System V Unix with the A3000UX or A2500UX systems in the past. It contained TCP/IP, X11, and other software, but a tape streamer is needed to use it as it came on QIC 150 tape. It is not really that compatible with much hardware and support for the Amiga version was stopped a number of years ago.

Minix- Another is Minix. This is still available from many PD libraries and Aminet. It can also run on almost any Amiga, and unlike other UNIX clones claims compatibility with the 68000 processor. It is supplied on floppy disk with the complete source code. There are a number of old hardware drivers available but it was never really supported.

Linux- Linux is a port of the 80x86 PC original that is recompiled to run on 680x0 processors like the Amiga. It only runs on systems that have a MMU with a '040 system being ideal. Graphic card users are also treated to a full colour display. Although technically able to run all Unix PC software that runs on PC, including Doom, it is just too slow to be really.

NetBSD- The best of the lot is definitely NETBSD. This is well supported and documented and is very stable. According to latest reports the latest version does not even need MMU, although it is only available on CD and via the internet. You will also need 4Mb-ram minimum, about 150Mb of hard drive free and 030.
