Can I use ASDL on my Amiga?
Yes, it is possible to set up an ASDL connection on your Amiga. All
you need is an Ethernet card and a TCP/IP stack. On the hardware
side the A600 and A1200 come with a PCMCIA slot that allows
connection of various Ethernet devices, such as the ApNet card from
various Amiga suppliers. It is also possible to connect some PCMCIA
Ethernet cards bought from a PC dealer and use them with the
cnet.device, available on Aminet.
Alternatively, if you have a Zorro-based Amiga, you can buy the
Aridane card from VillageTronic.
Once you have bought the hardware and attached it to your system
it is a simple matter of obtaining a TCP/IP stack, such as Miami or
Genesis and setting up your connection through the drivers
provided.
