What PD programs support the gif89a format as used on the Internet?

There are a number of freeware and shareware programs that are widely available on Aminet. These include GIF toolkit, GfxCon, ImageStudio. If you are looking for Animated GIFs, GIF Toolkit has animGIF support. Alternatively, you could try WhirlGIF or XAnim (xanim8.lha gfx/show) also from Aminet.
