The A600 and CD-ROM

The A600 is fitted with an internal 2.5 IDE interface. This is exactly the same device as in the A1200. Therefore you can use any 2.5 inch hard drive that are found in PC notebooks, and with the attachment of a 2.5 to 3,5 adapter cable (also known as 40-44 pin adapter) a CD drive can be added. The IDE interface can handle two devices as standard, so it is perfectly possible to add both a CD and hard drive at the same time. The only problem with be housing the devices, as they will not fit inside the A600 case.
