Amiga System 500

Developer: Commodore International
Year of sale: February 1988
Price: £699 (plus VAT)

In February 1988 Commodore launched an Amiga aimed at the small business market. Shocked? Yes I thought you would be. As the name suggests, this bundle featured the A500, a MPS 1200P dot matrix printer, and the choice of a colour or mono printer. On the software side it featured the predictable Workbench/Kickstart 1.3, with the PC Transformer emulator and the Works (a compilation of word processor, spreadsheet, and database).

The bundle retailed at £599 (plus VAT) for the mono, or £699 (plus VAT) for the colour monitor.
