I recently bought an A1200 68040 accelerator. When I try to boot it the machine gurus after activating the 68040 with an error of 8000 000B. How can I cure this?

It is possible that you are using an older version of the 68040.library and SetPatch. When Motorola made the transition from 68882 co-processors found in the 030 to the built-in FPU found in the 040 they altered a few things. The 68040.library was introduced to emulate some of the functions of the chip. The new library can be found by doing an Aminet search. At the time of writing the current version is v44.3 so the file you will need to download is 68060-v44_3.lha. Setpatch can be found at Amiga.com.
